This Malaysian couple will surely make you envious!
Mohd Alfishahrin Zakaria and Diana Latief have been trending on social media for their trips around the far places in Klang, Malaysia, all the way to London, United Kingdom.
Touring With Their Bike
Their stop overs along the way include the jade-green paddy fields of the Thai countryside, the Himalayas reaches of India, the soaring peaks of Nepal, hot air balloon ride in Cappadocia, Turkey, the Eiffel Tower of Paris, the canals of Venice, and the historic city of London, England.
However, no one can imagine that a Honda RS150R, also known as the maxi-scooter, can bring Mohd and Diana 27,000 kilometers far through rain and shine. Their expedition started April 8 and ended September 15. For a span of 150 days, the couple went the extra mile in exploring every cities and streets of over 25 countries.
During the journey, Mohd said that they had covered more than 27,000 kilometers and used RM2,800 worth of petrol into their scooter.
Sponsored by Some Companies
Mohd also pointed out that their bike, which they fondly call “Miss Orange” was serviced every 3,000 kilometers and they had used fuel costing as little as $0.29 to as high as $2.17. However, some companies decided to sponsor the couple, lessening their total expenses to $9,600.
Even with the high travel expense, it looks like the trip is worth every dollar they spent. The trip is definitely a holiday they cannot forget anytime soon.
As the saying goes “travel more and think less” because experience goes for the soul what education does for the mind.
Would you like to spend time touring around the world, too? How far do you think you can go?
