Have you seen photos of your grandparents when they were younger? Since the technology before is far different from the technology now, you may notice the huge difference in how the photo quality turned out.
For a grandmother from Japan, the Land of the Rising Sun, technology is something that she can enjoy, even at her age. This senior citizen made waves in social media not only because of her age but how unique her photos are.
Meet Kimiko Nishimoto: A grandmother from Japan who learned photography at her tender age of 72! She is definitely having a blast of the new skill she learned.
Now at the age of 89 years old, Kimiko learned about photography 17 years ago when she enrolled at a beginner’s course. Her son was the instructor of the class, and she decided to enroll just for fun.
Little does she know that this will awake the talent and passion she never knew she had. She immediately fell in love with photography and had fun with it ever since.
Her Own Exhibit
Ten years after learning photography, Kimiko had her first solo exhibit in a local museum in Kumamoto, Japan. Since then, she gained a lot of fans because of her unique concepts. She also started to attract a greater audience after her photos surfaced the internet. She later became popular for her funny self-portraits.
